1. Favorite Childhood Memory:
My grandpa was a considerable influence growing up, as my parents divorced. On my birthday, my grandpa would take me to a store (e.g., Toys R’ Us or Sears) to pick out a present. The endless possibilities presented, especially as a kid, were mind-blowing. We would walk through most of the aisles, discussing potential options and selecting the gift. Once we got home, he would take an active interest in whatever I selected. Sometimes, as was the case with video games, he took the interest further and bought similar things for his own house so that we could play together when I visited…or that he could play on his own. He was a great Super Mario Bros. 2 player and the only adult I knew who owned a Super Nintendo.
2. What’s your favorite LEGO character or what LEGO character do you think best represents you?
My favorite character is the dog from the Modular Playhouse (10929), the first DUPLO set I built with my oldest daughter Jordan.

1. Favorite Childhood Memory
When I was a kid, my parents were quite averse to having any video games. They didn’t understand them and had strong feelings about it. They told me that if I could save up for it then I could have a Sega Genesis. But the $120 price tag felt impossible to a 9-year-old. I save up from lemonade stands, allowance, and small amounts for my birthday. It took me almost a year to save up and I can still picture that moment of going to Toys ‘R Us, handing in the paper for the Sega, and waiting for them to go to the back room and bring it out to us for purchase. That experience was so exciting, but also thought me how rewarding saving, being patient and relying on myself could be. That system led to some of my favorite times with friends, and funny moments trying to teach my parents how to play with no success.
2. What’s your favorite LEGO character or what LEGO character do you think best represents you?
As a parent of three young kids, I identify with the Duplo construction worker. I am constantly assembling furniture, play sets and of course Duplo LEGO sets. I grew up putting together LEGO sets by the book, and even got a LEGO trainset as a kid as one of my big Christmas asks, and love to put the set together like a precise puzzle. But my toddlers take much more satisfaction watching me meticulously build, then smashing it, and smiling at me to, “build it again.” So, I am currently the house construction worker.

Having Lego is a luxury for my family. When I was young I will spend a lot of time in the shopping mall after school visiting the Lego section. Looking at the all the different Lego set ups, I imagine living in these worlds having adventures. And I wished when I grew up, I want to have a Lego room full of lego display.
2. What’s your favorite LEGO character or what LEGO character do you think best represents you?
My favourite character is the classic Lego character. Because he/she can be anything he/she wants. It represents endless possibilities.
